Why is my flight's status not "In Air" yet it was supposed to take off already?

Sometimes our data sources do not indicate that a flight has taken off so it is "In Air". They simply indicate that the flight has "Departed" or pushed back from the gate; this is why you see a status of "Departed". The flight may be taxiing to the runway or it may be "In Air", but at least it has left the gate and is on its way.
